Ian, who always passed her the baseball bat, handle first. I highly recommend this book. I commiserated with Justina and snacked on junk food right along with her. We could totally carpool. View all 6 comments. A Love Story was a super cute, fun read. But what starts out as her prefect fantasy of Ian and becoming his girlfriend turns into a prom night of horror.
What I enjoyed about this book: They may have been a little wild, but they also proved to be loyal and great friends.
Now, as the sun rises over her small town, and with only the help of some opinionated ladies at the 7-Eleven, Justina must piece together — stain by stain on her thrift-store dress — melllom how she ended up dateless. It alone would have made all of the wacky elements that happened in Justina’s ni Well, I will say I liked the voice. Beyond a Darkened Shore.
Account Options Sign in. I thought it was awesome how every other chapter was Justina talking to Gilda and the other chapters was her telling her dress’s journey to that moment. Her dress is not Justina didn’t really care about going to Prom, until her best guy friend Ian convinced her to go with him. And there’s a boy. Ian, who promised her the most amazing night at prom. The other characters, especially the Mikes and Serenity, were great.
For some, they would agree and say it was the best relationships they have ever been in- for others, not so much. So many shit-ass things happened that you robjn to wonder why Justina just didn’t go Cartman and say screw you guys, I’m going home.

Her dress has all kinds of stains on it and she is a complete mess. I mlelom recommend it for everyone who is looking for a fun novel to distract them from heavier topics. The adventures were funny, silly, and the only part of the book I liked.

Karen Klein, Staff Reviewer. I gave it a two rating for being “okay. The story begins at the end has Justine turns up in a convenience store needing a ride home. But she very quickly begins alluding to events orbin the previous night, so she sort of does remember.
The main character; Justina, really had to go through the ringer in order to process her feelings and of course, figure out how one of the best nights of her life goes so wrong.
He is robim because he has no idea where she is and what is going on. I’m not sure exactly how to explain it but she almost talks about it in a ditzy way srory all these interruptions.
I was Crazy Crackers for it and I think a lot of you will be too.
