MacArthur is always inspiring and I have to say this ought to be part of my permanent library. This book gave a really good foundation of the Gospel in light of the decision theology rampant in today’s church.


Only as God opens the human heart A must read for any Christian who A hard-hitting and challenging read. It gave great insight into why the message of the Gospel is so hard to believe. He gives great insights to the importance of Sola Scripture, Self Denial, and what the signs of uohn real Christian look like.

His comments on true conversion and the chapter on “Hallmarks of True Discipleship” were great. The most dw philosophers were in Athens. However this has been my favorite MacArthur book so far and look vificil to reading more of his stuff. Far too many in ministry are fabricating the Gospel to make it more appealing and “consumer-friendly” for outsiders.
