Couture has been on its way out since before I was born, but it’s comforting to see that people still cling to the old art and insist on keeping high quality clothes as art alive. Monday Morning Eye Candy: I have several couture instruction sewing books and DVDs and this particular book is one of my favorites.
Diary of an Overly Ambitious Costumer. I have only had this book about a week, but I can’t seem to put it down, and already I have used techniques I read about just days ago to correct the neckline on my Titanic Coutuge, and even to buck up and apply some sequins and beads.
Marvelous book for advanced sewing; however, discussion and illustrations of techniques could be more detailed.
