Bombshell (FBI Thriller, book 17) by Catherine Coulter
Oct 28, Kristina rated it liked it Shelves: Another great Savage and Sherlock mystery. Not nearly as interesting as the previous books in the series. But he has to go to the hospital to find Delsey, who was discovered in her apartment unconscious and covered in blood. If they had been connected I would have given this POS a 1 with prejudice! Delsey supposed the sudden waves of gut-wrenching nausea combined with her flat-lining brain had been heaven-sent, since it had gotten her out of the door caatherine Professor Rafael Salazar’s sprawling ranch-style home on Golden Meadow terrace in under a minute, with no one the wiser, only one arm in her coat when she’d quietly closed the back door behind her.
Where had that left-field thought come from? She never left the shower curtain closed because it made the bathroom look too small–well, unless she hadn’t cleaned the bathtub. On the other hand, he was a sharp dresser, dropping in conversations that he shopped twice a year in Milan for his suits, always fashioned for him by Bruno Giraldi himself.

She squeezed her eyes shut; what should she do? Coulter has a talent for descriptive writing that makes the reader feel as if they are in each location being described You really should not eat it up, but you do and then feel guilty later. Overall, I thought Bombshell had way too many characters and most of them were the good guys.
Dec 31, Michelle rated it really liked it. Maybe a sharp breath? No wonder; it was nearly one o’clock on Saturday morning. Feb 08, Marilyn Heyman rated it really liked it.

Her breath caught when she heard the sound again and whirled around, but she didn’t have time to be afraid before something hard as a brick smashed her on the head, and she didn’t scream anymore.
Before the police even arrive, the body is identified by a picture posted online as the grandson of the much-reviled former chairman of the Federal Reserve. What I like most about Catherine Coulter’s FBI mysteries is that the her main characters throughout the series, Savage and Sherlock, are not the only main characters. With characters like Special Agent Griffin Hammersmith and his chiseled body and tight jeans, this book came dangerously close to being supermarket-checkout-lane drivel.
This sets up the local case and romance which gets a bit crazy and out of hand, and not only the bad guys get hurt. Is he the Ground hog or something?
But after struggling through this book, I really feel like Coulter hasn’t found her voice. And trouble finds her quickly. The body is that of Thomas Cronin, a college student from a wealthy banking family. Eileen had been colter the hoedown, as drunk as everyone else, and giving Delsey the “die, bitch” eye all evening. But at the same time they have couoter characters that are so lovable that you can get to know each character a little bit better with each new book they write.
And why did the gang members choose Delsey’s apartment to kill undercover agent Anna’s partner? A few minutes after she arrives at her apartment, she screams. Twins who were separated at a very young age, one went with the mother and the other stayed with their father.
On his way to D. I won this print from Goodreads and agreed to give it an honest review. Why had she, Delsey Freestone, a reasonably intelligent twenty-five-year-old supposed adult, swan-dived into those last two margaritas?
Sep 30, Diana Murphy rated it it was ok.
Smith and the beautiful but tough undercover DEA agent Mr Southern stereotype even though the two demonstrated the appropriate level bombshfll fake attraction that again only a deranged Hollywood screenwriter would think was in any way reasonably, likely, or appropriate.
