When they a Oh dear. In Aftermath, the balance between comic and serious is sustained. Having worked with many young lesbian mentees from our local community college, I can say with certainty that I would definitely recommend this book to them and to any young women, who are finding their way with their sexuality. Are Claire’s dreams about to come true, or will real life prove to be more complicated than her fantasies?
For the academics and fanfiction nerds among us, Aftermath provides an absolutely delicious riff on the genre: Anja Lamm, Paper Love’s only full-time employee, takes an instant dislike to the arrogant, digital-loving snob who’s supposed to be her temporary boss.
McMan has no difficulty bringing their world to life, and making us believe the truly extraordinary coincidences that fuel some major plot elements. I truly can’t imagine anyone else bringing these words to life in the same way. Aftermath is a good “peek at what happens between the pages” of Jerichobut it’s not on the same level as the original story.
You know what’s coming and still can’t help yourself but laugh. The story is funny and heartfelt and I really loved it. JerichoBook 2 Length: Kindle Editionpages. I wasn’t too impressed with her work affermath Jericho, but I admit, its probably because I read Jericho myself enough times that I had their voices in my head already, and it didn’t match Williams’ version.

And here I still loved the repartee between Maddie and Syd. They also face their share of adult crises, in addition to an exceptional run of screwball incidents. I didn’t like the Henry character all that much. Ann McMan was born in the mountains of Pennsylvania, but spent much of her childhood below sea level in northern Delaware. The uptight and annoyingly attractive Piper is blocking her every move. Oh my word, I just gave a lesbian romance 5 stars. I liked the slow approach to the relationship but it may have been a bit too slow.

I highly recommend both books to fans of the genre. Now, return to the tiny mountain town in the much anticipated sequel, Aftermath. The author’s writing is just fluid and fatermath. If I’d read this first or without having read Jericho, there’s no way I would have liked it as much as I did. Funny and cute The story is more about the unique people who live in Jericho after a tornado crashes through the area.
